How Maddie's Can Help Spay/Neuter Your Pit Bull

Thank you for your interest in spaying/neutering your pit bulls and pit bull mixes. Your effort comes with many benefits for yourself, your pet, and community.

The goal of the Maddie's Spay/Neuter Project in Maricopa County is to end pet overpopulation and the resulting euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals by facilitating the spaying/neutering of dogs and cats within Maricopa County.

Did you know that about 20% of all dogs that enter into Maricopa County Shelters are pit bulls and pit bull mixes? In 2006, this 20% came out to over 12,000 pit bulls.

Maddie's commends you for doing your part to help reduce pet overpopulation in Maricopa County, as well as reducing the pit bull population.

Maricopa County pit pull owners follow these easy steps:

1. Make sure you are a Maricopa County resident.
2. Contact your local participating Maddie's veterinarian or clinic to set up an appointment. For a complete list see below.
3. Be sure to bring your photo identification (with Maricopa County address or a document to prove Maricopa County residency) with you to your appointment.

And that's it! Maddie's will cover the cost of your pet's surgery and will also send you a check in the mail for $20. However, you do have the option of declining your $20. If you choose to do so, the funds will go to help someone else through Maddie's Spay/Neuter Project.
